Sat Nav stuck in Herne Bay

Went to Herne Bay yesterday Sat Nav worked fine, came home and the cursor on the map display stayed in Herne Bay with the error message "no map available for current location".

I can programme in a destination but the route shown is from where it thinks it is back in Herne Bay. It's not receiving a GPS signal to update it's location. Tried the battery disconnection remedy to no avail. Anyone else come across this please?

Thanks for the tip. As luck would have it after spending a couple of hours playing with it yesterday and eventually resorting to the forum I drove to the end of the road this morning and it decided to play again. Will try your trick if it happens again.

When you say the R-Link is that the on/off or the Home button please?

Hi

I’m having the same problem, no current map coverage. Couple of days ago lost the gps signal and map is stuck in the same location.

Have checked gps status and it’s not giving anything. Have reset the sat nav and also done a reboot by holding the on/off button for 10 seconds, but still nothing.

Any ideas on other reboot options?

thanks

Agree with the previous suggestion try a power down reboot.

The fault cleared a couple of hours  after that. Went back to Renault last week and said software all up to date and no faults logged. Still missing a few icons on the screen which no amount of menu searching and box ticking has resolved. Not impressed with R-Link

An ever increasing group, really pisse me of as we have a clio with RLink and it works fine.

The re-boot thing like RLink seems random in effectiveness, it often needs doing multiple times before things reset, sometimes it drops all your settings and sometimes it doesn't.
