I've asked Renault DK about "What & Why" Apple Carplay can't be fitted in cars before week 15, 2017

The Customer guy asked (maybe uk?) about it,  (the question I had: specs etc. ) This are the answer he got when he asked if it was a hardware limitation:

"Yes, it is a hardware related issue to do with the usb port that is installed on the vehicle. The technology has to come pre-installed and cannot be fitted retro-actively. For any more information than that, the customer will need to refer to a Dealership."

Does anyone knows (for sure) if it can be fitted retro-actively in a kadjar, Bose (which parts that exactly needs to be replaced) - with a R-Link 2 system from jan, 2017?

Only Renault can answer that question. Problem is they won't .They do not have the slightest interest in fitting anything retroactively.
The only way to find out is to get your hands on a version 3x head unit and experiment yourself. €1000 is the price I've seen mentioned on the Italian forum... so no one is in a rush to be the guinea pig. Once done the question would be would Renault then reassign the new head unit to your r-link account in order to receive data and updates.I think that would throw them in to a spin if you've done something they say is impossible.
If anyone reading this writes off their post May KJ let me know I will be happy to take your head unit off you and give it a go

I can't see how a USB port can't be changed . I've done on PC's loads of times . Maybe next time darenh is delving deeply into his Kadjar maybe he can take a peek and see why changing a socket is impossible ? :D

That response is rubbish. they need to answer specifically what the technical limitation is with the USB port they have installed. As a minimum I expect a USB2 port to have been used and there is nothing in the CarPlay specification that suggests a USB3 port is needed.
