Anyone know what the service intervals are in terms of Miles and/or Months is for the Kadjar?

And details of what is checked/renewed/adjusted etc.

I can't see it anywhere in the manual, but then it does appear to be a generic manual and not specifically for the Kadjar.

the service intervals (from the Glossy brochure) is 18,000 or 12 months. Not sure on what is checked though, is there not a service manual provided with the booklets?

hopefully 2 weeks till mine arrives, the dealer has gone quiet though.

It's surprising how many people don't get them, I think many salesman just bung them in the bin, 100% of my customers; Dacia or Renault, get them and I go through it too, explaining what it's all about.

Each car gets delivered to the dealership with the folder in it already; usually in the boot, this already contains general warranty and recovery information; T's & C's, phone numbers etc, the dealer then should print off service info specific to the chassis number of your car, also this will include warranty dates, oil type and more phone numbers, there is also a space for a dealer stamp.

Went through all the paperwork again last night. I found an A4 sized folder, but it was empty!. No service schedule, no warranty details and no telephone numbers. huh..

Oh God...Just realised...It's another trip to the dealers

When you collect the car you should receive an A4 folder titled "Handover Documents" in this folder will be; warranty, roadside assistance and service schedule information.

Can I get this paperwork from any Renault dealer?

I went back and spoke to the salesman this morning and showed him the 1/2 empty handover folder and the sheet that states salesman has to print off  PDF and stamp it, Something about the service schedule and warranty details..His words to me were, " never seen that sheet before, never had to do anything with it". He said he will speak to someone tomorrow and call me back!

I recall  my girlfriend having that folder passed over to her, there was something in there about warranty, it looked like a PDF print out from Renault HQ that the dealer was supposed to sign or fill in, but when she questioned the dealer why it had not been filled in or stamped he said "bin it dont worry" ??

I'm sure there was something on there in bold writing saying "must be completed by dealer".

I'l try to dig it out if its not been binned ?

I have created an account on renault.co.uk and once logged in you can see your maintenance schedule.

After 1 year it's an A service = Replacement of the cabin filter.

After 18months years it's a B service  = Replace the oil filter & Drain the engine oil.

After 2 years an A service.

The weird thing about that is that my Kadjar is telling me that I need to change the oil in 8000 miles even though the service is showing as 15000 miles to go....confused

Cheers for that...Ahh the beauty of a forum. :)  That's exactly what I didn't do...

Done it now though.

Is it really only a cabin filter change after a year, wow...this is going to be cheap car to run!

Anyone bought a Renault service plan? There are offers at the moment for 3 or 4 year plans with a reduction for the Kadjar as well. Seems to cover the core service items mentioned in this thread but nothing related to wear and tear e.g. Brakes. Are they good value? This is my first private purchase for nearly 20 years as I'm losing the company car in a month so have no idea of the cost of servicing. Never had to worry about such things for some time.....

Sorry Alan,

I tried to, but the service department said the Renault service plan wouldn't be worth it for the Kadjar.

I would be better off taking out the local dealer one as then I would get discounts on the parts used, plus I can load money each year on the card and then any payment for work required would be taken from the card account.

So asked how much but, after all that, he then said he couldn't give me a price as the Kadjar Hasn't been put on their system yet!!!!

I went to an independent garage that specialises in Renault and asked if they can do warranty work on it. Apparently, If there was things needed,Renault would play hard ball and would be nigh on impossible to get paid for it.

I also asked about this 18 Month Oil and filter change. The look on his face was one of disbelief. He recommended 12 Months if I was going to keep it longer than 2 years...as the servicing quoted was more for the fleet market who tend to change theirs every couple of years.

Thanks Steve. Haven't heard about the local dealership arrangements being different. Will ask that question. Cheers Andrew

we are on a service plan that costs £12 per month, covers all parts and labour, also if you decide to part with the car you get back any unused payments paid towards servicing .

For example if you part with the car before a service you have any money back paid in.
