The best solution would be to use the Rlink 2 screen, but I think it takes an interface costing 200-300 euros + the cost of the camera  100 Euros  + installation costs. Is to expensive. Another solution would be with a separate monitor ( a foldable monitor Lcd 4.3" )  http://www.dvd-navigatii.ro/monitor-video-auto-lcd-4-3-intrare-camera-marsarier-ws-438

It's a bit bulky. I presume you have something to plug it into such as a recorder or screen?

I noticed that you have experience with the rear camera. Any idea with the front one?Convert RCA video signal  to usb and use a phone as a monitor  is possible?

Which model do you have? Before I worked out how to configure rlink to work with my camera, I fitted a rear view mirror that's virtually the same as the self dimming mirror in my sig nav.
I would personally go for one of those.

Other options,
Cheapest to fit a switch to switch between front and rear.
Or use a 360 view kit, 4 cameras and get a birds eye view similar to nissan.

Got to keep in mind the if you use the rlink, it only displays in reverse and a couple of seconds after.

The interface that can be purchased for the r link 2 intercepts the output between the screen and head unit.
Using the screen as a monitor, of course is another option, but starts getting expensive.
£350 for an interface where if you can get the rear view input enabled for a back hander.
Then another £140 for camera and 360 interface

Where did you find a R Link 2 Video Interface?

Having had numerous cars with reversing cameras I find the extra cost not worth it, the 360 parking sensors on the Kadj seem to be pretty good I have - I struggled with the depth perception on the QQ reversing camera and never trusted it!!!

A lot of money but if you don't have the sensors on then maybe worth it

I put a reversing camera on mine using rlink2 cost is around £80 fitted, while I like the 360 on our Juke I can't justify the £140 and the not so easy task of ripping the mirrors apart.
The camera is well worth it for a quick check for those hidden obstacles

I had the 360 birds eye system on the Nissan Tekna I had befor. The view was fine in good weather but the design of the cameras was crap, in wet weather it was like looking through a goldfish bowl as all cameras held water globules on the lenses, the images actually moved when you didn't.
Having said that I truly miss it and will ensure the next car has similar.
Incidentally I took apart 2 Clio mirrors the other day to change the repeater lamps, they are the same as the Capture/Kadjar etc and are pretty easy to be honest.

I notice that with the juke and the rain the other night.
What's the easiest way attack the mirrors, ive had a look a while ago but didn't want to risk damaged

I found a RCA video converter to USB and I will try to use a phone or a tablet as display and power the front camera  with car's cigarette lighter . The car is in the warranty and I am not allowed to make any changes ( I lose  warranty).

Adjust the mirrors to fully inward, ie you can get fingers under the outside edge of the glass and lift the glass out of the socket, that's the bit that was scaring me. I have big hands and it was no problem.
You can then remove the connection from the glass and put that aside.
Now you see the plastic retainers that have to be released with a screwdriver so the whole rear cover comes clear. Repeater may come of with that or simply pull away on it's own dependent on model. The whole lot snaps back together.
I'm just hoping that by the time, 2 years, i go for a new car, they have shielded the cameras somehow as Renault/Nissan are still favourites .

Thank you will have a go!

Have you got a link for the camera you added?

Only just seen this, cameras are below £10 now on eBay, 12v so it needs a 12 v ignition feed from the front, then the rlink needs to be turned on to work with it

Recently put a 360 parking camera kit on mine, built in recorder 4 camera system.

Used the same rear camera from my rlink and displayed it in my rear view mirror.

image displays while indicating or reverse, when out of reverse switches to front camera for 10 secs, adjustable then goes off
