Touch up paint
1 1

I asked the painter at work to see if he could mix me some touch up.

Candy red, got the paint code and asked the machine. He couldn't do it.

Basically it's 3 layer process, base colour, peal colour and then a colour lacquer.

The base is tinted with either black or yellow depending on how dark or light.

Then it depends how many coats of lacquer it has on which also makes it different.

So I'm thinking that's why they haven't got a touch up pen, variations on a colour

I do not know what do you mean, but here I can buy (order) a touch up kit for desired color code at authorised garage. It contains 2 bottles (50 ml maybe), one with color and one with finishing coat.

I know that this post is a couple of months old. But in case someone is still searching, the original touch-up paint is for sale on E-bay. Sold from the U.K....
