Hello All

So I've been on this forum since January and was a little anxious about what to eventually expect once we picked our car up on 18 February.

We have a new 66 plate, Flame Red Sig S Nav 1.5 dci, manufactured in November time from what I can gather from the alarm paperwork. The colour contrasts beautifully with the chrome, tinted windows and panoramic roof. My choice at the time would have been white, as I think they look like stormtroopers (I'm a massive Star Wars fan!). But due to time constraints with returing our previous car, we could only be offered red or silver. But I'm pleased to say that I'm super chuffed with my Emperor's Royal Guard instead!!

The Bose sound system is awesome (it's the sound system I wish I had when I was 17 and used to cruise along Southend seafront in my 1982 Ford Escort!!!) and after a 1,000 mile round trip to Scotland last week, we have no complaints re road handling, performance or fuel consumption. Luckily, we aren't affected by the wind noise issues that some users have experienced.

It is by far the most expensive car we've ever had (although leased) (having previously leased 4 Clios (3 black, 1 silver) and 1 Captur (black)). So having the Flame Red has been a brave choice for us. I'm obsessed with it being sparkling clean and like that there aren't many Kadjars on the road right now.

All in all, I'm a little bit in love with my Kadjar: my children love the panoramic roof and give a little cheer each time the car parallel parks itself (we have very busy, tight on-road parking so this feature has been a godsend - no more scuffed alloys!!!). The kids are also eager to check out Mummy's eco driving score at the end of each journey (Mummy quite regularly beats Daddy's score ).

I don't know if we have been lucky or perhaps our expectations aren't as high as others, but I would genuinely recommend this vehicle - I'm yet to find fault with it. I've leased from Renault for 15 years now and have also never had any issues with any of their services either.

Happy driving everyone!

Fair play! Glad your enjoying it. Now my wind noise has been sorted im happy again! It is a lovely car and didnt realise how much i missed it after driving a 1.2 clio for a week.

Still need to convince my wife to drive it as she wont go near as she loves her clio..... and always likes to be a passenger on long trips.

Happy motoring and Happy Easter

I think James Corden parked it!

"That's how we park in this town", edited to that's why they call me th......."
Friggin political correctness.

8 weeks is too short, but I'm sure you will be happy, can't fault it? it does have faults, if they don't matter to you then you have found your perfect car,  (no hand clap emoticon available)

Faults are in the eye of the beholder! Ignore negativity at all times!

Faults are faults , not negativity but truthfulness . There are faults on the Kadjar , mostly to do with R Link ( though some reported build also ) . Non of these R Link issues bothered me too much , though Renault's inability or seeming lack of will to correct them  did .  Other than that it's an excellent car mechanically and visually

See my car, looks good? Washed at sainsbos 2 weeks ago, everything works as it should. As with all machines some thing at some time will break. I will get it fixed. Get real everybody and you will find contentment and fulfilment!

Yes , I can see all the electrons running around the R Link in in perfect harmony from that picture . All that shows is , as I've already said , it's beautiful looking car . Weren't you afraid that Sainsburys car wash would scratch it ? :)

Never had problem with the sainsbo's wash, as I said treat people with dignity and they will do their best for you, otherwise expect scratches!

Here's a thought, dirt collects on car, you then wet it and all you he dirt and grit turns into an abrasive sludge that you then swirl around the car either manually or with a jet wash ( which then becomes a sandblaster) taking a micron or two off of your cars finish "

So that's bullshit then ?

No, I never said don't clean your car, I only pointed out that too often is not good. I read your posts, you clearly don't read or understand mine. Well do ya?

I said it was washed 2 weeks ago and it won't get done again until it's filthy. There will be some surface erosion but less than some.

I think you'll find I understand you perfectly

Your replies indicate otherwise. Never mind I am me and I am content with that, but are you truly happy being you?

Not really . If you trawl through my posts ( don't bother just take my word for it ) , you'll see very little , if any , complaints about the Kadjar . Most of my complaints have been about Renault Non Support  :)

Granted, I'm only 8 weeks in, but I really do have no issues with my Kadjar so far: two trips, each at eight hours of continuous driving to and from Scotland (one pit stop for each leg) were very comfortable and problem-free.

Yes, the R-Link is a bit clumsy but it's not a fault, it's just working the way it was made to? I only find switching DAB stations a bit slow to respond but other than that, the functions I use are working how I'd expect - I had a run-through with the dealer before ordering so was aware of how it all worked and what I was getting.

I'm happy with my 19 inch wheels: I just have to drive a bit more carefully over the speed bumps.

In my 15 years of leasing new Renaults I've never had to take a vehicle in for a repair for a fault. I've been on the Clio and the Captur forums over the years and the only issue that I've been affected by was the Media Nav Sat Nav (Captur) postcode finder only accepting the first 4 digits of a postcode. This was simply rectified with a £4.99 update to the maps, so no big deal.

Like I said in my original post, perhaps I'm just lucky or my expectations aren't as high as others' but I do love my Kadjar!

If I am unfortunate enough to encounter a major issue then I'll be on here sharing my problem and seeking others' advice on their own experiences - I'm not denying that this won't happen.

I'm simply sharing my honest experience so far....

Happy Easter weekend everyone!
