Thanks for this fix. I wouldve never though it was because my iPhone did not have a single audio track saved to the device. Downloaded a song and now finally can play Spotify etc from my phone.

I seem to have a different problem! My iphone 7 is paired alright via Bluetooth and will stream music fine. What it doesn't do is sync my phone contacts or show any called, received etc details. the only way at the moment is to use the usb lead and go out via apple car play which however defeats the point of Bluetooth and keeping my phone in my pocket. Anyone else having/had this problem too?

I read somewhere that you may have to go into contacts, settings and allow data sharing. There's a post about it on another thread somewhere. Check permissions in settings too. Hope this helps.

So, I have been browsing this forum for a bit and found one thread that was about my problem, I guess, but it was flodded with Android answers. That didn't really help me out :)

Anyhow, the problem I have, is that I can connect my iPhone 6s Plus to R-Link. I can use the phone but for some reason, when I'm heading into Media, the bluetooth is grey.
I bought the car yesterday and the dealer who had an old Samsung could connect, play music via bluetooth.
Then I picked up my wife, who has a iPhone 7. Connected and could play music via bluetooth.

So this morning, I got my old iPhone 5 out. With IOS 9 on it, but the same problem continued. I mean, is it just me the car hates? ;)

I have tried all the basic stuff, restart my iPhone, re-connect it to R-Link and all that jaz. Do anyone in here have any suggestions on what to do next?

I’ve found a solution to some of it. Seems that you must have songs in your library.

Ive made a small guide here: https://drkoch.dk/fix-r-link-2-audio-streaming-problem/
