The passenger door lock will not open from the inside.  The alarm went off yesterday for some strange reason, no one was near the car,  as I was stood nearby.I picked my daughter up and when she came to get out of the car it would not open I had to let her out.  Locking works fine all other doors fine....Has anyone any ideas on this please?

Thanks for replying. We had ours replaced as well but it is still playing up! It isn't every time but can't seem to work out if there is a pattern to it or not. It never does it when it is at the garage - typical!! It worries me though because if we had a crash or something and door won't open but also my kids are getting out before me which I don't like especially if parked on the road. We are still umder warranty so will just have to keep taking it back hoping it will act up for them!

Hi...Oh I know its a nuisance.  Mine was actually locked when I went to the garage so I was lucky.  I would tell the garage you want the mechanism checked and replaced or you will get in tough with Renault.  That always does the trick. ...Good luck

Not at any Renault dealer I know it doesn't, months of banging your head on the service office desk sometimes helps though.

Intermittent faults are a nightmare, they seem to default to not believing you, which I understand, doesn't stop it being very annoying and equally inconvenient.
