Yep, took about 3 weeks to make and deliver, you pay alliexpress then they pay the supplier when you are happy. Done all the hard work with the measurements design etc. In effect you could have anything you like

I was thinking of getting a few made as I can't find anything to go on the Kadjar

3m tape is already applied to plate, just a matter of degreasing the sill and applying

A small wire tucks under the rubber door seal

As this is an after market product you need to lay in power yourself

I had already done this for my footwell lighting

I found a connection diagram for pickups for the side bar lighting. This was in the A pilar trims, I found these hard to remove, didn't want to damage the clips so I ran a twin core up to the map light which are easy to remove.

Footwell lights sound interesting... I have an idea to install ambient light (led) in cool white and I need to get source same as for led lights (lit on lock/unlock and as light source)

If anyone is worried about finding power sources following wiring diagrams and tapping into other wires .. You could always use one of these piggy backed off the lighter socket fuse which powers on when you unlock and powers down on locking.891461b40fb3220725eac4c93ce3cf79.png

I took power straight of the back of the aux socket, which feeds the coil 86 and 87 of a 40 amp relay. My main power comes from a 12mm cable in the n/s foot well though a fuse to the relay 30 then out on 87 through 3 fuse holders 1. Heated seats (to be installed) 2. Dash cam (mini dvr) 3. Towbar bypass power (next job)

Power follows aux socket power.

I'm away, could've done a how to for the footwell lights etc

I had heated seats fitted in my Megane and the wife's Qashqai as a retrofit, I if course removed them when the cars went for p/ex as the dealers don't care.

I've bought new switches but going to price up the genuine item first. I'll start a new thread when doing it.

Sounds like an interesting project.

Do the factory fit heated leathers also have memory?

No memory function and only drivers side is motorised.

I ordered the same sill plates like darenh. From the same aliexpress store but with blue light. Funny thing: they asked me if I have the same Kadjar version, from 2015 or 2016. I told them that there is only one version and also I advised them to keep the mould/frame because I think there will be other orders! :)

Thanks darenh!!!

Definitely more my cup of tea ( or coffee in my case ) . Not keen on the price though  :o  ....I'll put it on the back burner whilst I mull over the relative merits of Kadjar ownership  :P
