  1. Can anyone comment whether road noise is significantly better with the 17” wheels ? .... or is the type of tyre the most significant factor? I find 19” perfectly comfortable with good handling. but they could be quieter on bad motorway surfaces.
  2. Insecure wing mirror covers

I had a similar problem. The covers were not quite flush with the rest of the mirror, leaving a slight gap. This meant I was getting a bad whistling noise from them when driving down the motorway. When I took the car in to the dealer, they recognised the problem as the fixing clips Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Wind noise when driving

It may not be the same problem but have you tried the MaxJ window seal test with black tape round the top edges of the windows?. Certainly made a difference for me.... Allowed me to go to the dealers now with some direction where they should look. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Wind noise problems - my findings

Like a few others, I have been trying to understand a couple of louder than expected wind noises, and where they are coming from With some good advice on here, I can certainly recommend using electrical tape ( just to find the problem) I had two issues. Loud wind noise coming from around the doors and also an annoying whistle/whine from around the passenger door pillar. The first problem I'm almost now sure, is the seal between the side windows and the door frame. MaxJ recommended adding tape to the top of the edge of the windows. And this seems to have worked for me. The second whistle/whine problem, I managed to isolate to the door mirror. If I closed the door mirrors when driving the noise went away. The front shell (the blank gloss part on my Signature Nav) isn't completely flush with the rest of the door mirror, so wind was blowing across the gap on the top of the mirror unit. This resonated like you get when you blow across the top of a bottle. Again, a quick application of electrical tape across the gap, proved the issue. Of course....I am not expecting to leave tape all over my car now. But can go to my Dealer with my "evidence" to get them to sort it. A bit annoying to have to do this to find the problem? .... sure...... but I know the dealer would have struggled.....and to be honest....this has been my only main problem with the car in almost a year of driving. So not been a deal-breaker. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  6. Known R-Link 2 Bugs & Issues

Has somebody added this already?: MP3 files play in alphabetical order and not track number order. Very frustrating Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Wind noise when driving

I have been trying the tape mod on the windows as recommended by MaxJ, front only initially and now the back. A bit more playing around to do but I'm sure it's making some difference. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. is this a rip off or what

That makes sense .....it would need a hardware addition to allow that......but I would hope that any other upgraded features that will be available when they release R-Link 3 , may be applied to older Kadjars Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Variations in spec

Which is my point... It's a shame (for them?) that some manufacturers just don't think ahead. All electrics should be linked to the software as part of the original build. then they can just charge us a ridiculous amount of money for upping the "feature set" ..... when all they have to do is change a bit of code. 10. is this a rip off or what

Indeed. a bit of a shame... For a newly designed car..... even just having to take your car back to dealers to get a software upgrade to fix an R-Link bug, is very "1990s". I assume the new Scenic and Koleos (even newer designs using R-Link2) will have the same clunky software upgrade process Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. is this a rip off or what

just put the equivalent deposit I put in for the Kadjar......lease is quite a bit more expensive. Lovely car it looks like.....but looks like the 3008 is pushing Audi Q3 territory, more than a competitor for Quasqui/Kadjar. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Variations in spec

Surely the feature to automatically fold the mirrors when you lock the car ( If now available on new build Kadjars?) ....just needs a system software upgrade - if you already just have folding mirrors........ Any one know? I've got used to pressing the button, but would still like this feature (like on my Fiesta) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. is this a rip off or what

Very happy with my Kadjar, but must admit I'd be interested in the new 3008 if I was looking now. Significantly more expensive list price though. Anybody know how the lease costs compare? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Saying Hi

Thanks for sharing. I will be asking my dealer therefore whether that can be a retrospective upgrade on older Kadjars. Surely that is just a software upgrade to get those to work. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  15. Another noise

Thank you.... I have been having exactly the same "wine glass" noise. On my SigNav with sunroof as well. After seeing this post and a couple of others about wind noise, I definitely will get my dealer to look at the windscreen seal Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
