  1. Diesel MPG ?

After 10 months and 9000 miles I'm getting a fairly consistent 43.5 to 44mpg with my 1.5 auto. Daily commute is about 10 miles each way with about half in start-stop urban traffic and including two drop off stops for kids. My previous petrol mini countryman achieved about 28mpg on the same regular journey. Mpg improves a lot on a longer run.
  2. Disoriented Compass

Has anyone noticed that the compass (dispayed in screen when navigation not in use) is the wrong way round? Mine seems to be showing a mirror image of what it should be showing. When I am heading North or South then the correct arrow is pointing upwards but if I'm heading East tgen the North arrow is pointing to the right and so West is pointing upwards. The compass doesn't actually have NESW letters in it but there is a red arrow which I assume should mean North. As I drive along, when I turn right I would expect the compass arrow to rotate anti-clockwise but instead it rotates clockwise. Very confusing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Please Help - CarSeats

I have a 3.5 year old of about that weight. He's just progressed into a Recaro Monza Nova Seatfix which fits fine in either of the outer rear seats using the isofix connector. We really like this seat and have four of them - 2 kids and 2 cars. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Start-stop on Sig Nav Auto

Yes, I know that, but every time I start the car it switches it back on again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Start-stop on Sig Nav Auto

I wish I could get my stop-start to stop working. It is very keen to switch off the engine when I'm trying to set off sharpish at a roundabout. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Hill Start Assist on EDC cars

Yes there is a switch. But i have to switch it off every time I start the car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Hill Start Assist on EDC cars

I think this may be the answer to the problem I'm having with hill start assist. Is there a way to permanently turn off the auto start-stop? I'm finding it quite annoying with the auto gearbox. My daily journey involved a lot of stop start driving - i don't always want the engine to stop but i do want the hill start to work. At the moment because I have to make two stops on my journey each direction, to drop off kids, I have to manually switch off the start-stop 6 times a day. I had an incident the other day where I was realeasing the brake just at thr moment it had decided to stop the engine. This seemed to confuse the system and it then didn't restart. I ended up having to switch everything off. Put it into P and then restart engine manually. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. My hill start assistance seems a bit intermittent. I.e. Sometimes I find myself rolling back as I mive my foot from brake to accelerator. I've read the manual and I can't see that I sm doing anything wrong. I have an automatic - so driving along in D. Cone to a stop in traffic - remain in D with foot on brake, vehicle at standstill. But when I let go of the brake I roll back. This is happening on relatively gentle gradients - I would use parking brake on anything steeper. I've experimented with applying different amounts of pressure to brake pedal but haven't seen an obvious pattern in the results. It does sometimes work and the brake noticably releases after 2 seconds. Am I missing something? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I like the bit in the manual that says "if you regularly monitor this indicator you will reduce your vehicle's fuel consumption." Not sure if that is necessarily true. However, if you monitor the flower too regularly then you might just crash into the car in front. There's certainly plenty of gismos and things to look at in case the view out of the windscreen isn't engaging enough! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. My "flower" was consistently looking autumnal and twig-like so I switched it off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Wrong time on Sat Nav

Yes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Wrong time on Sat Nav

That was indeed the problem. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. The clock in my Kadjar is set correctly but my sat nav seems to be using a different time - an hour earlier - so the estimated arrival time is a hour out. Do I need to adjust a setting somewhere? I would have though the nav would download the correct time from the satellite anyway. Confused. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My new Signature Nav in Cosmos Blue with leather seats and lots of techy things. Enjoying it so far. Engine and gearbox smooth. Ride feels very smooth and well planted. Bose sound is good. Everything seems to be working so far. I've more or less worked out the R-link. All good fun - Happy camper here!
