  1. Hi, my 1.5 auto is going on for a service later this month, it’s part of the pre paid service package. When booking I’ve been asked if I’d like the engine cleaning out for an additional £29.99... is this required/worth it? The car has only done 14000 miles.
  2. I have the auto and don’t have any issues with reversing lag, the only problem I seem to get is an occasional grating noise when it changes from 1st to 2nd gear...
  3. Hi, does anyone else find that when you start your engine you get a loud beeping coming from the engine compartment? It very rarely happens but when it does it’s really loud and lasts about 5 seconds. Usually late at night 😂
  4. Hi Folks, We picked our Bose Signature Kadjar yesterday mostly it's great drives beautifully. Love the Auto transmission and the leather seats which are so comfy. That said there are a few issues, I'm wondering if anyone else out there are experiencing the same or similar issues. Instrument panel display has smudges/finger prints which are inside the the panel making it impossible to clean. Paint work damaged. Faulty glass. Scratches on the centre console. BOSE strip is scratched. Pipe work inside the engine compartment held together with a cable tie as the clip seems to be in the wrong place, makes you wonder what else has been bodged! Please have a look at the pics and let me know your thoughts To be fair though our dealer is very upset about the poor build quality from the factory and they have promised to resolve all of our issues within two weeks. 5. Disappointed so far, anyone got similar issues.

Hi, are you asking about the initial start of the thread? If so the dealer bought back the car no issues, Renault UK apologised and was give £1000 towards a new Renault. I bought a new Kadjar SNav auto via good deal Flame Red. The only issues I've had are with the Rlink2. The car is fine just not as refined advice it could be, some switches are in very strange places, i.e. Cruise/speed control heated seats... I love the car it's really practical and I enjoy driving it. If I was to buy again with hindsight I would probably consider a Kia Sportage. Hope this answers your question? 🙂
  6. 8 weeks in and no complaints from me ☺☺

That's very tight parking! Almost a handbrake 180 degree job! Them we're the days lol [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Hi have you swapped your wheels for 17"? I'm thinking about it as the tyres are cheaper and looking for added comfort over the worst roads in the U.K. Warwickshire! I too have the Bose edition great car but lacks a little refinement compared to my previous Kia Optima. If I was to buy again I'd consider the new Kia Sportage but price for price you get a lot more with Renault. I have the auto diesel with real leather heated seats and it's great. Just some silly items missing which some I believe have now been addressed by Renault, Interior glove light box, illuminated buttons, auto fold wing mirrors. Bose Sound system is OK nothing to get excited about nothing compared to Bose products in the home... I've also purchased a spare wheel & Jack. Overall I'd give our Bose edition S Nav Flame Red 8/10 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Oil levels

Hi, it's a combination fill and dip if you open the the yellow fill point where you add oil you will find attached the dip stick [emoji594][emoji846] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Tyres

Hi, I'm not mechanically car minded at all unlike some of you so I thought I'd ask. I have the 19" wheels with a 225/45/19 profile... do you think 225/55/19 would work or perhaps rub the underside of the vehicle, or worse make the vehicle unstable? Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Tyres

Thanks I thought that... I was just curious as fat tyres are cheaper and was hoping for more of a soft ride, I'm considering buying some 17" alloys I know there not as pretty as the Bose edition but I'm thinking of my comfort and long term spend on tyres. 12. Owners Ages

We have the full range in our family, here's the colours and age. 22 = White 44 = Flame Red 72 = Titanium Grey Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Owners Ages

That's reassuring 62... and you can still feel it, that'll be me in 18 years lol [emoji23] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  15. Hi, yep definitely go for petrol, I wanted an auto but at the time only diesel was an option, to be fair it's fairly nippy... that said my father in law has the 1.2 auto which is so much quicker off the mark, quieter & drives lovely I'm not sure on his mpg, I get around 60-65 on a run 40 around town. That said given the choice I'd go for petrol. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Hi, I'm 44 and having driven lorries with trailers I pride myself on my reversing skills, however this is one feature the Kadjar has which is pretty awesome! I let the car park itself where I would never attempt it! My only worry is the other parked cars leaving before me lol [emoji2] You just need the confidence to trust it find a quite road with some large spaces and give it a go... good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Just ordered mine

It may seem a long wait but will be worth it, I have the S Nav 1.5 auto in flame red, nice colour, my son has 1.6 in white and my father in law has the 1.2 auto petrol in titanium grey, I personally have colour envy when there side by side the grey looks a lot more muscular! Wish I'd had grey. 4 months is nothing they generally come 12 to 16 weeks. It will fly by and at least you should get the latest bits n bobs. This is a great forum some awesome guys here know their stuff keep reading the threads and learn what you can before your car arrives. I've had a few niggles but nothing to moan about the drive is great and I get about 64mpg on a run. 16 weeks will fly by [emoji594] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Petrol Automatic

Hi just wondering what you settled on, diesel or petrol? [emoji594][emoji846] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. New Kadjar Signature S Nav Titanium

Love the colour, same as my father in laws Kadjar, I have to admit I have colour envy, mines Flame Red wish I'd chosen titanium!! Perhaps I will feel better again when the sun shines lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Kadjar - Boot Space and engine size

I have the 1.5 auto and it's got plenty of pull. My son has 1.6 manual which is quicker off the mark but not as economical and my father in law has the 1.2 auto petrol which is amazingly quick off the mark than both the 1.5 & the 1.6. As much as I like the Kadjar if I was to purchase again with hindsight I would definitely reconsider the Kia Sportage boot size is similar and you get more extras (on the old model) I do believe that the new ones are a lot more expensive than the Kadjar... I love the Kadjar it drives lovely, so far no real issues but I do feel short changed with little things which these days come as standard on most cars and I have the BOSE Sig Nav S. If I was you I'd spend a couple of hours reading the different threads on this site. There are some awesome guys who I can't thank enough for the their support and guidance, Ulfire being one I them! On balance with cost vs kit the Kadjar is probably a marginally a winner! That said if I was not on a pension I'd spend a little more. Good luck with your quest! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Powered tailgate for the weekend

You've scared me off already! Way too much for me to undertake. You'd think the price of some of these Kadjars all of Darren's mods would be standard! Perhaps you should work for Renault and let them know what their customers really want! Well done can't wait to see the video! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Heated seat project

What's the door card? I will be doing mine later this years . Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  25. Several loud beeps

Hi folks, this is probably something staring me in the face but both myself and father in law have experienced several loud beeps emitting from the engine compartment of our Kadjars. At the time the vehicles are unlocked, the engine is off and the keys are in our pockets it's only happened to me twice since July. There are no messages on the dash or R-Link, any ideas what it could be? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
