  1. Hi, my 1.5 auto is going on for a service later this month, it’s part of the pre paid service package. When booking I’ve been asked if I’d like the engine cleaning out for an additional £29.99... is this required/worth it? The car has only done 14000 miles.
  2. I have the auto and don’t have any issues with reversing lag, the only problem I seem to get is an occasional grating noise when it changes from 1st to 2nd gear...
  3. Hi, does anyone else find that when you start your engine you get a loud beeping coming from the engine compartment? It very rarely happens but when it does it’s really loud and lasts about 5 seconds. Usually late at night 😂
  4. Split leather on drivers seat

Thanks for that 🙂 hopefully mine will be also. I can stop worrying about it for now. I will let you know how I get on. Cheers
  5. Split leather on drivers seat

I paid a lot of extra money for leather seats so if there not leather side panels I will be asking questions! When I sit on the seat it’s split on the exact crease. I don’t see how anything sharp could of ever split it... I’m furious with certain parts of the Kadjar in terms of quality. If the things I’ve listed are not covered under warranty I may actually do my own Kadjar YouTube review on my personal experiences with the Kadjar. Such a shame as it’s a lovely looking car.
  6. Split leather on drivers seat

I also have this problem, i just noticed it yesterday, i have the s nav bose edition and paid extra for the leather seats. So along with this, the headlights misting up and staining the inside of the fitting, reversing camera working when it wants to and sensors having a lag my second service next month will be fun! The car has only done 13500 miles! Hopefully you can see some pics attached.
  7. Acceleration delay in auto

Your absolutely right about the lag of sensors and camera! I learnt this the hard way when I was distracted I ended up reversing into a thin metal pole and managed to do over £1000 worth of damage! Yet another reason I will never buy another Renault ever again after this one. I have a love hate relationship with the car!😐
  8. Burning Oil

It seems to be a feature of Renault cars, everyone I’ve owned has done this. I thought having a 20years break from Renault this would have been resolved by now! Guess not, I reckon they have shares in oil 😂 I don’t think I will ever buy Renault again! Shame really as they make good looking cars.
  9. Acceleration delay in auto

I couldn’t agree more, eco mode makes no difference whatsoever, in fact I found I get more MPG when I don’t use it 😂! I always turn off auto start stop it’s a pain in the bum especially when at a junction at the top of a hill...
  10. Acceleration delay in auto

Hi, I have a 2016 1.5 auto and I haven’t experienced the same problem as you. My old Citroen c8 used to do that and I thought it was incredibly dangerous, every junction was a gamble. I’d return the car for inspection if I was you. I’m sure you are protected nowadays and can request a refund if the fault cannot be rectified. Have you register your problem with Renault U.K.? Good luck
  11. Headlight condensation brand new car!

I dont mind the condensation as it does dry up, it’s the staining it leaves after doing it for almost two years! Surly Renault can installed sealed units that don’t mist up. My previous car had similar headlights and I had no issues whatsoever.
  12. Headlight condensation brand new car!

I have Led headlights and they’ve stained terribly on the inside they look old and dreadful! My father in law had normal headlights with no issue whatsoever! LEDs in my opinion look great but don’t give as much light at night as the normal ones! Perhaps mine are just stained to badly! I mentioned it last year at its first service and they did nothing about it. I will definitely be complaining formally this year!
  13. Hi Folks, We picked our Bose Signature Kadjar yesterday mostly it's great drives beautifully. Love the Auto transmission and the leather seats which are so comfy. That said there are a few issues, I'm wondering if anyone else out there are experiencing the same or similar issues. Instrument panel display has smudges/finger prints which are inside the the panel making it impossible to clean. Paint work damaged. Faulty glass. Scratches on the centre console. BOSE strip is scratched. Pipe work inside the engine compartment held together with a cable tie as the clip seems to be in the wrong place, makes you wonder what else has been bodged! Please have a look at the pics and let me know your thoughts To be fair though our dealer is very upset about the poor build quality from the factory and they have promised to resolve all of our issues within two weeks. Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Disappointed so far, anyone got similar issues.

Hi, are you asking about the initial start of the thread? If so the dealer bought back the car no issues, Renault UK apologised and was give £1000 towards a new Renault. I bought a new Kadjar SNav auto via good deal Flame Red. The only issues I've had are with the Rlink2. The car is fine just not as refined advice it could be, some switches are in very strange places, i.e. Cruise/speed control heated seats... I love the car it's really practical and I enjoy driving it. If I was to buy again with hindsight I would probably consider a Kia Sportage. Hope this answers your question? 🙂
  15. 8 weeks in and no complaints from me ☺☺

That's very tight parking! Almost a handbrake 180 degree job! Them we're the days lol [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Hi have you swapped your wheels for 17"? I'm thinking about it as the tyres are cheaper and looking for added comfort over the worst roads in the U.K. Warwickshire! I too have the Bose edition great car but lacks a little refinement compared to my previous Kia Optima. If I was to buy again I'd consider the new Kia Sportage but price for price you get a lot more with Renault. I have the auto diesel with real leather heated seats and it's great. Just some silly items missing which some I believe have now been addressed by Renault, Interior glove light box, illuminated buttons, auto fold wing mirrors. Bose Sound system is OK nothing to get excited about nothing compared to Bose products in the home... I've also purchased a spare wheel & Jack. Overall I'd give our Bose edition S Nav Flame Red 8/10 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Oil levels

Hi, it's a combination fill and dip if you open the the yellow fill point where you add oil you will find attached the dip stick [emoji594][emoji846] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Tyres

Hi, I'm not mechanically car minded at all unlike some of you so I thought I'd ask. I have the 19" wheels with a 225/45/19 profile... do you think 225/55/19 would work or perhaps rub the underside of the vehicle, or worse make the vehicle unstable? Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Tyres

Thanks I thought that... I was just curious as fat tyres are cheaper and was hoping for more of a soft ride, I'm considering buying some 17" alloys I know there not as pretty as the Bose edition but I'm thinking of my comfort and long term spend on tyres. That's reassuring 62... and you can still feel it, that'll be me in 18 years lol [emoji23] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  24. Hi, yep definitely go for petrol, I wanted an auto but at the time only diesel was an option, to be fair it's fairly nippy... that said my father in law has the 1.2 auto which is so much quicker off the mark, quieter & drives lovely I'm not sure on his mpg, I get around 60-65 on a run 40 around town. That said given the choice I'd go for petrol. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Hi, I'm 44 and having driven lorries with trailers I pride myself on my reversing skills, however this is one feature the Kadjar has which is pretty awesome! I let the car park itself where I would never attempt it! My only worry is the other parked cars leaving before me lol [emoji2] You just need the confidence to trust it find a quite road with some large spaces and give it a go... good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
