  1. Renault Fuel Prices App

If this article is correct, it would appear that Renault know full well whether carplay/android auto will work with your Kadjar or not.... http://www.gps-carminat.com/v3/2017/01/22/des-details-sur-android-auto-et-carplay/ Android Auto and Carplay requires a specific hardware so all vehicles equipped with R-Link 2 will not be able to receive it with a simple update (it will be necessary to have a software version 3.X A R-Link 2 whose software number begins with 2.X will never be able to receive these functionalities because hardware is not compatible. The hardwares changes are at two levels: the computer and the terminal block so that it can provide more current for the load Just checked mine which I collected three weeks ago and its version 2. software. So thats a no then.

Plus Renault isn't even listed on the Auto compatible listing, even as coming soon!
  3. Renault Fuel Prices App

I have just received my Kadjar and been informed it is the 2017 model (how I tell is a different matter.) It isn't on rlink2. Just check android and get this from adroid auto, Android Auto is coming soon in Renault vehicles. Note: Android Auto is available for newly purchased vehicles, and may be offered as a standard feature or optional feature. Availability is subject to change and may vary based on geography and trim level.
  4. Renault Fuel Prices App

Well I decided it was only a fiver so why not! And have been pleasantly surprised. It took less than 5 seconds to bring up the 15 cheapest local prices. I validated these against petrolprices.com and it all checked out. I then drove to the cheapest which took me past two off the others in the top 5 and all prices checked out! 1.149 was cheapest for diesel. What was a nice touch, is that if you click on the cheapest / nearest price (your choice) onscreen, it loads it straight into tomtom. Finally, a clever, worthwhile piece of software.
  5. Has anybody tried this from the R Link store? They want a fiver for it but it only has 3 stars, but you cant read the reviews! (or at least I can't find them) Alternatively, does anyone have a good experience with any of the UK fuel price apps for android? Thanks
  6. SATNAV Alternate Route Chaos

For the phone power issue, if you charge from USB it is the equivalent to a trickle charge and you'll probably find the satnav app plus the screen are drawing more power than the usb is charging, so your phone will die quite quickly. If you buy a 1.2amp cigarette lighter charger it charges the same as an in house mains charger. This is what I use and it never runs out! Plus under a tenner... https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lifetime-Warranty-RAVPower-Charging-Protection/dp/B00Q2GFP4M/ref=pd_sbs_107_t_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=VXD03AGP7RKGDCFRY4TQ
  7. Took delivery of the car yesterday, set up RLink, all working with no problem. Couple of updates but nothing for maps etc. Maps are dated 06/2015. Traffic is live. Today the eldest daughter wanted me to drive her to work. Set the satnav even though I know the way just to test it. After 3 miles on the motorway we ran into the normal logjam. The satnav said there was a 30 minute tailback so advised to come off at the next junction. Not wanting her to be late, I followed the advice and once I had entered the junction tomtom told me that what had been 17 miles remaining was now 39. It then ran me in circles for about twenty minutes before I took my phone out with copilot and that had me back on track in less than 3 minutes. Tonight on the way home it told me there was a traffic delay at a road junction ahead (this is normal, only takes 5-10 minutes to get through) and advised that I jump on the motorway 200 metres away, which was a 14 mile diversion but would eventually bring me out at the same road junction ahead that was only a mile and a half away. Of course I ignored it. Questions is (sorry if I bored you but needed to let off steam) does anyone use the alternate route and is the system intuitive, in terms of learning, or does it operate on programmed alternates?
  8. R Link 2 set up

Just picked up the new car, followed the instructions here and all good within 10 minutes. 3 updates available, user profiles, Coyote version 2 and 1 other all installed. Thankyou!
  9. USB Pen drive size

I have a 64gb so I'll try when the car is delivered and post back
  10. Hi

Hi all, ordered today, collecting Dynamique Nav 1.5 Diesel next week. Looking forward to it.
  11. Hi guys. Ordered the car today with the RLINK2, although looking through some of the comments about the TOMTOM system part of me wishes I'd found this forum first! Just a quick question if I may. Is there a maximum size for USB pen drives? We plan to have 2 as me and her indoors have differing tastes but I can find anything in the manual about size. Thanks
