  1. Word of warning about stalling

250ms, you must be joking. Surely a diesel Kadjar doesn't put out smoking bullshit? After all that's not what the adverts say is it?
  2. Word of warning about stalling

I suppose I went a little off topic when I mentioned the stop/start function. What I was trying to point out is that with this facility active, when one pulls up (at say traffic lights) there is a delay in pulling away again as the engine has to restart. Therefore pulling away takes longer, which is rather like recovering from a stall everytime.
  3. Word of warning about stalling

Yes, as others have said this would (hopefully) not happen with an automatice. Also, what happened to you is another good reason to always disable the stop/start feature on all types of drive!
  4. Acceleration delay in auto

Me as well, next time it's a Kia Sportage for me. I thought I might miss the glass roof on my Kadjar, but the new Sportage now has one. Also, I won't miss the terrible R-Link! However, I would miss the brilliant Bose sound system.
  5. Acceleration delay in auto

I'm sure a pooper scooper will come with your horse as a default.
  6. Acceleration delay in auto

Yes your right, switching it off is no hardship. The difference is not having control of the default setting when it should be available. After all, would you like a car where the radio was on by default every time you started the car? The stop/start technology is a dictate made for us by the EU (which incidentally Fiat seem able to ignore. lol) even though many other countries have a similar rule. However, it can be swithched off by default in Australia and the USA. To be really green perhaps we should just walk.
  7. Acceleration delay in auto

What I can't understand is why (for the time being at least! lol) our Lords and Masters in the EU say that we can't have a car with the default setting of Stop/Start being "Off", but we can with Eco Mode?
  8. Burning Oil

Sorry to hear your problem. But I think there must be a problem with the engine on your car and trouble like this, though rare, it is not confind to Renault. Make a visit to the dealer, bang on their desk at recpetion and don't give up on a French Renault, unless of course you think Peugeot or Citroen might be better. But not a Italian Fiat as that uses a lot of oil in reverse gear. Best car I ever had (when a was young!) was a Renault 19 16v in the early 1990's and lucky me it was a company car. A wonderfull "speed machine", days sadly now long gone.
  9. Acceleration delay in auto

I have the same car as you. My two suggestions are 1. Never run in the Eco mode 2. Switch off the stop/start feature every time you start the engine. It is a button on the right side of the steering colume. Sadly due to stupid EU laws it can't me made as a defaullt setting! You will get slightly (and I emphasis the word "slightly") less mpg, but using the above I get around 55mpg and I don't have any of the delay problems one often gets by trying to be "super green" lol
  10. No more Xenophobic posts please

I fully agree. Hopefully there is still a sense of humour and free speech on the forum even if "Xenial" can't be downloaded on R-Link or perhaps sometimes to the Forum.
  11. Instrument panel light dims

Thanks, I'll give it a go.
  12. Instrument panel light dims

I'm finding the panel too dim in daylight. Even when there is just moderate sunshine on the display it is often difficult to see clearly. Any solutions would be helpful. Thanks
  13. Day time running light settings

A red flag in front? So no Russian in control then.
  14. Day time running light settings

If you could do that, there is the risk that the idiot in the car behind you will think that your brake lights are permantly on. Still, look on the (excuse pun) bright side when we leave the EU . We will be able to make our own car lighting rules . Even if our cars will still be made in Asia.
  15. Day time running light settings

With all due respect this topic was about front driving LED's and the possibilty of rear LED lights being on at the same time, not headlights. Degree of understanding the original question zero!
